Here is an overview of the ports and the new expansion:
For the first time outside of a high-end PC, gamers will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of Irid Novo’s cursed space station in razor-sharp 4k, running at 60 frames per second on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. Loading times are also significantly reduced.
Launching alongside the next-gen update is the first DLC expansion for Hellpoint – Blue Sun – first announced in August 2021. In this new adventure, the Spawn will dive into strange and never-before-seen places within ‘Irid Novo, behold the influence of the cosmic gods and discover the true cause of the fusion cataclysm.
For the uninitiated, Hellpoint was the first game from indie studio Cradle Games. Set in a surreal, dark science-fantasy future, humanity and aliens seek to harness the power of the soul and wrest power from the cosmic gods of old.
Something strange has happened aboard the colossal space station Irid Novo. The black hole it orbits seems to be getting hungrier by the day, and crazed cultists and void-spawned demons roam the halls. The station’s AI created you, a 3D printed agent, to investigate.
Featuring intense hack n’ slash action combat in single player or co-op (split screen or online), Hellpoint immerses players in a twisted universe where the line between magic and technology has blurred into nothingness. Players will arm themselves with blades, guns, and more esoteric weaponry, and battle ancient cosmic deities in their quest to uncover the station’s dark truths.
