To support the game series and help the gaming community, the Pokemon franchise launched the Pokemon Home in February 2020. It was introduced primarily to act as a cloud-based storage system, where players can store all of their Pokemon. different titles in a single application. It also came with a new feature known as the Global Trading System (GTS), which allowed players to trade their Pokémon with other users around the world. With this feature, you can get your hands on new Pokemon that you may have been looking for for a long time. The application is available in two different versions, one for Nintendo Switch and another for mobile. If you want to use the app to its full potential, you should use these two versions together.

How do you unlink your Nintendo Account from Pokémon Home?

Unlinking your Nintendo Account is a bit tricky, and you need to know the right steps to do it. There is no official process currently available, but we will provide you with a workaround which should work just fine. Before proceeding with the process, you should know the effects of unlinking your Nintendo Account. Your Pokemon Home data will be safe with all your Pokemon. But just that your Pokemon Home won’t be in the same ecosystem as before, until you connect it with a new Nintendo Account. You won’t be able to access any Pokemon Home features until you relink your account. To unlink your Nintendo Account, carefully follow the steps below and you should be good to go.

  1. First, you need to create a new Nintendo Account.
  2. Next, unlink the linked Nintendo Switch account.
  3. After that, link the newly created account to your Pokemon Home app.
  4. Uninstall the app from your device and then reinstall it again.
  5. Now your main Nintendo Switch account is unlinked from the Pokemon Home app. Also, you can do whatever you want with the second account, maybe abandon it.
