New Fortnite update for Xbox consoles releases today, fixes stability issues

Fortnite players will have a new update to download today on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Released on May 23, the maintenance patch will address minor stability issues. The update should download when the game launches.

On May 20, a similar patch was released for Android, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch consoles. The Fortnite version 3.57 patch notes just say “stability issues fixed”. It seems pretty mundane, although it will improve the overall gaming experience.

Fortnite is an extremely popular free-to-play online shooter with several game modes such as Battle Royale (in which up to 100 players fight to be the last one standing), Save the World (a defense/survival mode) and Fortnite Creative (a sandbox mode where players can build their own private island).

The game was recently made available through Xbox Cloud Gaming. It has more than 24 million players per day in 2022, with 270 million connections each month.
