QUBE 10th Anniversary Coming to PC and Consoles This Summer

It was in 2012 when QUBE was first released by Toxic Games. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, a new version of this first-person puzzler is coming this summer. Title QUBE 10th anniversaryit should arrive on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

In the original version QUBE, players take control of an avatar which they must guide through a series of levels and towards an exit. The avatar is equipped with special gloves, which can perform different functions on specific blocks to reach the exit.

For this new release, fans can expect polished visuals and a complete overhaul of sections found in the original release and the QUBE: Director’s Cup of 2014.

The characteristics of QUBE 10th anniversary to understand:

  • QUBE

    • The original 2012 version of the game with improved visuals, new puzzles, and gameplay tweaks based on player feedback.

  • QUBE Director’s Cut

  • Sector 8

    • A new chapter of the game that can be unlocked after completing the campaign.

    • This provides four to six hours of brand new puzzle gameplay.

    • New visuals, with the game completely rebuilt from the ground up.

  • Brand New Developer Comment

  • Assorted supplements

    • Screenshots, concept art, fully playable soundtracks in menus, and other trinkets from the game’s creation.

In a statement, creative director Dave Hall revealed that they built this new release from the ground up. He said they didn’t just want to put better visuals and wanted to offer a reimagined version QUBE Hall went on to say that they listened to feedback from the past decade and fixed some of the puzzles that weren’t working as expected.

For the PC version, here are the minimum requirements:

  • Operating system: Windows 7 64 bit

  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz

  • Memory: 4 GB RAM

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD R9 290X or better

  • DirectX: version 11

  • Storage: 8 GB of available space
