Now, Aaron Greenberg recently shared a tweet from VGChartz, which indicates a new number of units sold for the Xbox series X | sAnd But it also sparked a controversial conversation among fans.
17 months after its release, VGChartz reported that Transcending the Xbox Series X | S 13.87 million units sold. By comparison, the Xbox 360 had 9.38 million consoles during the same period. This is information that Greenberg, general manager of marketing at Xbox, shared on his Twitter account:

However, controversy erupted this time when a fan pointed out that in 2010 Greenberg made fun of people using VGChartz and other similar sites for talking about selling consoles, Commenting that there is no official source to back up the information shared.

Although Greenberg hasn’t posted a response or clarification to his comment in over a decade, VGChartz responded to the CEO’s last post, Noting that they go to great lengths to make their estimates as accurate as possible.
